Terms of use
Last updated 26 October 2026
These terms cover your use of bookmock.com. They are written to be read, not to be impressive. Using the site means you accept them.
What Bookmock does
Bookmock turns a book cover into mockup images — a three-dimensional book you can turn to any angle, and photographic scenes with your cover placed into them. Everything is produced in your own browser.
The tool is free to use. We may introduce paid features later; if we do, we will say clearly what is paid before you are asked for anything.
What you may use it for
You may use Bookmock for your own books and for books you are working on for other people, including paid client work. What you may do with the images you download is set out on the Licence page.
What you may not do
- Copy, download in bulk, or scrape our mockup scenes, and use them outside the tool.
- Build a competing mockup service using material taken from Bookmock.
- Upload a cover you do not have the right to use.
- Use the tool for anything unlawful, or to produce material that is hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit involving minors.
- Try to break, overload, or get around any limits on the service.
Your cover is yours
You keep every right you already had in your cover. We do not acquire any rights in it. As explained in the Privacy policy, your cover is never sent to us in the first place.
Our part of the site
The Bookmock name and logo, the design of the site, its software, and the work that places a cover correctly into each scene are ours, and are not yours to copy or reuse.
The scene images are made available to you through Bookmock under the terms of the Licence page.
No guarantee
Bookmock is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that it will suit any particular purpose, or that every mockup will come out as you expect. Rendering depends on your own device and browser.
You are responsible for checking anything you intend to print or publish. A mockup is a picture for promotion; it is not a proof, and it is not a substitute for your printer's own checks.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost sales, lost profits, lost data, or other indirect losses arising from your use of Bookmock. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending access
We may suspend or refuse access to anyone who breaks these terms. You can stop using the site at any time.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of British Columbia will deal with any dispute.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
